Omeruo Reveals One Training Ground Secret Ahead Of AFCONQ Vs Seychelles
Published: March 21, 2019Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has revealed that the Super Eagles coaches, led by Gernot Rohr, are closely monitoring the newly invited players ahead of Friday afternoon's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
According to the Leganes central defender, Rohr has been paying special attention to Paul Onuachu (FC Midtjylland), Valentine Ozornwafor and Ikouwem Udo (both Enyimba), and Ndifreke Effiong (Akwa United), with a view to naming the quartet in the match day eighteen if they impress.
Though Seychelles decided to train in Uganda for a whole week and arrived Nigeria earlier than usual, Omeruo is convinced that the Super Eagles can beat the opponents tomorrow.
''Training was good, intense, we got to test our new players and plan ahead for Friday, it was a very good one,'' Omeruo said.
''Seychelles are expected to come out and give everything, they will want to win one game but we cannot let them win.
''We need to win and top the group comfortably.''
