John Ogu Already Thinking About Summer Transfer Window; Announces Hapoel Beer Sheva Departure
John Ogu will walk away from Hapoel Beer Sheva as a free agent in the summer, with the midfielder announcing that he won't be renewing his contract with the Israeli Premier League champions.

The Nigeria international was offered a new contract by The Camels but his wage demands proved a sticking point before talks eventually broke down.

Ogu is departing Hapoel Beer Sheva after helping the side win six trophies : three Israeli Premier League titles, two Israeli Super Cups and one Toto Cup.

''After 5 years here in Hapoel Beer Sheva, I have decided I won’t be continuing my career here,'' Ogu said in a statement.

''All I just want to say is thank you to everyone that made it possible for me to be here . Thank you for the memories and support . And to the fans, I specially say a big thank you.''

The 30-year-old has made 186 appearances for Hapoel Beer Sheva across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists.

Ogu previously wore the jerseys of teams based in Slovenia, Spain and Portugal .
