Nigeria May Face Cameroon In U17 AFCON Final As Japanese Football Association Expose Guinea
Published: April 26, 2019The dust has not settled over the age cheating allegations made by Senegalese Federation against the Guinean National Team competing at the ongoing U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
The Senegalese Federation have irrefutable evidence that two Guineans players Ahmed Tidiane Keita and Aboubacar Conte forged their current international passports and a complaint was lodged with the Confederation of African Football.
The physical and mature looking Guinea U17s qualified for Sunday's showpiece after a 10-9 win on penalties against Nigeria in the semifinal but they could be disqualified from the competition at the end of investigations by CAF.
Ahmed Tidiane Keita and Aboubacar Conte played for Guinea at the U16 International Dream Cup 2017 in Japan with different ages compared with what they have on their passports now at the 2019 U17 AFCON in Tanzania.
According to sports.orange.fr, the Japanese Football Federation has since sent CAF travel documents to decide on this issue as the players changed their identities to enable them play at the U17 AFCON.
"All delegations are waiting for the reaction that will be adopted by CAF," said a member of the delegation of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF).
