Multi-Eligible Striker Ohio Rejects New Man City Deal Amid Interest From Bayern, Ajax
Published: May 28, 2019Nigeria-eligible striker Noah Ohio has rejected a contract extension with Premier League champions Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.
The highly-rated 16-year-old has refused penning a fresh three-year contract with The Citizens as he sees greater opportunities for a first team breakthrough if he joins a foreign club.
Apart from interest from Ajax Amsterdam and Olympique Lyon, three Bundesliga clubs are competing for his signature.
RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have been credited with an interest, but RB Leipzig are in pole position to secure his services.
Ohio could take a similar path as Keanan Bennetts who opted to leave Tottenham Hotspur last summer and is on the brink of breaking into the first team of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
A Netherlands U16 international and also eligible to play for England, he joined Manchester City from Manchester United in 2015 and made seven appearances in the U18 Premier League in the recently concluded season.
