Photo : 6ft 4in Nigerian Defender Inks New Two-Year Deal With Morecambe
Published: June 24, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that 6ft 4in Nigerian youngster Ayo Shogbeni has completed his two-year scholarship signing at EFL League Two club Morecambe.
The 16-year-old was offered a scholarship before the end of the 2018-2019 campaign and all the formalities were completed today ahead of the new season.
He could have gone to another club before today's ceremony if he wanted to leave the Seasiders.
Shogbeni trained with the youth team of Crystal Palace before he was snapped up by Morecambe and will play for their U18 team in the upcoming season.
He is eligible to represent the Golden Eaglets at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup.
Morecambe, who finished 18th in the English fourth-tier last term face Grimsby Town in their first competitive match of the new season on August 3.
