Three Super Eagles Players Who Could Benefit From Omeruo's Match-wining Goal Vs GuineaThe Super Eagles players are relieved that they eventually got a solitary goal against the Syli Stars after many missed chances at the Alexandria Stadium on Wednesday.

Omeruo's header found its way into the Guinean's net to give Nigeria the lead and equally ensured their easy passage to the next round of the competition.

Having secured a spot in the round of 16 with a game to play, Gernot Rohr is expected to rest key players while fringe players could be fielded against Madagascar in their last group game.

Among the fringe players in the team, at least three players are in line to get playing time against the Bareas, hence, they must be thankful for Omeruo's goal. Who are these players?

Henry Onyekuru

The Everton loanee is yet to make a single appearance at the tournament based on Rohr's preference for Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Moses and Ahmed Musa.

Onyekuru was in fine form for his club side last season and he has been great in all the matches he's played for the Super Eagles.

He might get the nod to start while Musa is rested in the last group game.

Victor Osimhen

Unfortunately for the young and in-form striker, Odion Ighalo has been in topnotch form for the team, while Paul Onuachu seems to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

However, he is expected to be given a run-out on Sunday, June 30.

John Ogu

The player has been more of a spectator in the Super Eagles under Rohr's tutelage.

However, he has slim chances of featuring against Madagascar but it remains unknown if Rohr will drop one of Ndidi or Etebo from the starting line-up to create space for the 31-year-old midfielder.
