Super Eagles Training : Starters Vs Guinea Hold Recovery Session; Subs, Others Sweat It Out On The Pitch
Published: June 28, 2019The Super Eagles held a recovery session on Thursday ahead of their final Group B fixture against Madagascar, allnigeriasoccer.com.
Nigeria's next opponents, Madagascar, are still in the fight for the top spot in Group B after beating Burundi yesterday, meaning the Super Eagles cannot afford to take their feet off the pedal.
The highlight of the training session was Victor Osimhen scoring a beauty but he needed the physiotherapist's attention after the goal and continued immediately after.
Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong is in contention to return to the starting line-up as he trained fully with the rest of the squad.
The players that started against Guinea on Wednesday trained in the gym mostly while the substitutes and those that didn't play did most of the outside work.
Abdullahi Shehu is practically ruled out of the next game as he was with the starters in the gym and the same goes for Jamilu Collins.
The training session lasted for about one and a half hours, then the players returned to their hotel.
