Official : Ex-Porto Defender Junior Pius Completes Move To Royal Antwerp
Published: June 28, 2019Belgian First Division A side Royal Antwerp have completed the signing of highly-rated Nigerian defender Junior Pius.
Pius has inked a four-year contract with Royal Antwerp and the deal comes with a club option for the 2023-2024 campaign.
The 23-year-old center back has spent the last six years of his career in Portugal, first representing the youth teams of Porto followed by spells at Aves, Cesarense, Sanjoanense, Tondela and Paços de Ferreira.
In his first words as a player of Royal Antwerp, Pius said to the club's official website : '''I am really happy, it's one of the happiest days of my life because I have made a step up.
''I will be competing in the first division in Belgium and the Europa League qualifiers so it is a big step. I'm really happy about that.

Royal Antwerp finished fourth in the Belgian First Division A last season.
