Official : SC Heerenveen Confirm Capture Of Former Liverpool Trialist Ejike
Published: July 15, 2019Dutch Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen have confirmed the signing of promising Nigerian winger Chidera Ejike.
The 21-year-old has inked a four-year contract that will keep him at De Superfriezen until at least June 2023.
Ejike was courted by Manchester City before undergoing trials at Champions League winners Liverpool in 2016, prior to his move to Vålerenga the following year.
''We are proud that Chidera has chosen us. We have been following him for some time and know his qualities,'' Gerry Hamstra, technical manager told SC Heerenveen's official website.
''With Chidera we brought in a player for whom the people come to the stadium. With his speed, dribbling and scoring ability, he fits perfectly with sc Heerenveen. "
Emmanuel Ebiede, Henry Onwuzuruike and Uche Nwofor have played for SC Heerenveen in the past.
