Report : Everton Turn Down Loan Bid For N6b-Rated Nigeria Winger
Published: July 18, 2019Premier League side Everton have reportedly rejected the overtures of Galatasaray who expressed an interest in signing Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru on loan for the 2019-2020 season.
Turkish sports daily Fanatik says the Super Lig champions wanted to loan the winger again but the Toffees did not accept their offer and are only interested in an outright sale.
Onyekuru will be allowed to depart Everton on a permanent basis before the close of the transfer window provided an interested club meet the winger's 15 million euros (N6 billion) asking price.
This is not the first time the Super Eagle has been linked with a transfer this summer, CSKA Moscow were interested in his services but he gave the cold shoulder to the Russian Premier League side.
He enjoyed a positive loan spell with Galatasaray last season, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances as they won the double.
Onyekuru joined Everton in the summer of 2017 from Eupen and has not played an official game for the Merseyside club due to a work permit obstacle.
