Babajide Sends Reminder Of Her Class With Brace And Assist For Liverpool In 6-0 Rout Of Metropolitan Conference Allstars
Published: July 23, 2019England youth international of Nigerian parentage, Rinsola Babajide was among the scorers for Liverpool in their 6-0 demolition of Metropolitan Conference Allstars in a pre-season friendly staged at Harvard on Monday.
The Reds were 4-0 up at the break thanks to a hat-trick from Courtney Sweetman-Kirk and Babajide's effort.
With fifteen minutes gone, the Liverpool Women number 20 skipped past several defenders before firing past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
The striker was also involved in the opening goal scored by Liverpool when she created an opening for Sweetman-Kirk, who slotted home from close range.
In the 52nd minute, Babajide made it 5-0, firing in to the far corner after receiving a pass from Melissa Lawley.
The former Watford and Millwall Lionesses star represented England U20s at last year's FIFA U20 Women's World Cup and was promoted to the U21 squad after the tournament in France.
