Official : Chelsea Defender Signs New Contract Until 2022
Published: July 24, 2019England U21 skipper Jake Clarke-Salter has penned a new contract with Europa League winners Chelsea.
The young central defender is now committed to Chelsea until at least the end of the 2021-2022 season, informs the Blues on their official website.
A member of England's U20 World Cup winning squad in 2017, Clarke-Salter will spend the whole of the 2019-2020 campaign on loan at Championship club Birmingham City.
He previously spent time on loan at Bristol Rovers and Sunderland, and impressed at Dutch club Vitesse during the 2018-2019 season.
Clarke-Salter joined Chelsea in 2006 and made his competitive debut for the first team against Aston Villa in the Premier League in April 2016.
