Official : Former Manchester City Striker Kayode Joins Gazisehir Gaziantep F.K
Published: August 10, 2019Gazişehir Gaziantep F.K. have announced the signing of Olarenwaju Kayode from Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Nigeria international is moving to the Turkish Super Lig new boys on loan for the entirety of the 2019-2020 season.
Since joining Shakhtar Donetsk from Manchester City in March 2018, first on loan before signing on a permanent basis, Kayode has recorded 24 appearances for the Ukrainian powerhouse with four goals to his name.
He struggled for playing time last season, making only four starts from a possible 45 in all competitions.
And because of his lack of game time at Shakhtar Donetsk, Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr did not consider him for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Kayode lists ASEC Mimosas, Maccabi Netanya, Austria Vienna and Luzern as his previous clubs.
