Super Eagles Coach Rohr Reveals Four Qualities Of Nantes New Boy Moses Simon
Published: August 17, 2019Speaking to French radio station France Bleu, Gernot Rohr has highlighted four qualities of Nantes summer signing Moses Simon.
The Nigeria manager revealed that Simon is fast, disciplined, good in one vs one situations and has the ability to dribble past opponents.
Rohr has close ties to Nantes, having managed the club for 155 days during the 2009-2010 season, losing only five of the seventeen matches he was in the dugout.
''Moses Simon is an extremely fast explosive winger that I use in the left or right wing, playing five games in the last AFCON, two of them as a starter, "said Rohr.
''He is a very disciplined boy and especially very good in one against one. He is able to easily eliminate his opponents. It is a reinforcement of choice for FC Nantes.''
Simon was replaced by Crotone's Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo on the Super Eagles roster for the 2018 World Cup after suffering an injury in training before the second phase of camping in Europe.
Rohr added : ''He's an indispensable player on my team who missed out on the 2018 World Cup.
''He was injured during the last training camp before flying to Russia, where he suffered a small muscle problem in his thigh''.
Moses completed a season-long loan
move to Nantes from Spanish outfit Levante this week as he aims for more
playing time, becoming the third Nigerian player to join the Ligue 1
club after Samson Siasia and Chidozie Awaziem.
