In the English League One, Fred Onyedinma picked up the Man of the Match award after scoring for the second successive home game as Wycombe Wanderers beat Milton Keynes Dons 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at Adams Park.
The Lagos-born winger, who played the full game, restored Wycombe's lead eight minutes before half time with a strike into the far corner.
In the French Ligue 1, Bordeaux were held to a 1-1 draw by Montpellier at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique (Bordeaux).
Introduced at the interval, former Sunderland striker Josh Maja leveled matters with 20 minutes remaining. Nigeria international Samuel Kalu was also involved in the draw.
Samuel Chukwueze helped Villarreal to get a point in a thrilling 4-4 draw against Granada at Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Super Eagles winger's sublime finish in the 73rd minute gave the Yellow Submarine a 4-2 lead. Ramon Azeez played the last 21 minutes for the visitors.
