Manchester United Wonderkid Shoretire Displaying Maturity Beyond His Years
Published: August 23, 2019Manchester United striker Shola Shoretire is showing excellent leadership traits at such a young age, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
With the departure of Mipo Odubeko in the summer, Shoretire and summer signing Dillon Hoogewerf are arguably the two most talented players of Nigerian descent currently at the Manchester United Academy.
Aged 15, Shoretire is displaying maturity beyond his years for club and country, and was appointed captain of the England U16 team for their recent friendly against Denmark.
And he stepped up to the challenge by leading the team to a 2-0 victory and providing the assist for the second goal scored by the Young Lions.
Although Shoretire is classed as an U16 player, he is expected to feature for Manchester U18 team this season as he was involved in their opening day win against Sunderland and only international duty prevented him from playing against Wolves last Saturday.
Looking ahead, it is envisaged that the versatile striker will be offered a scholarship at Manchester United before the year runs outs.
