Wolverhampton Wanderers-Owned Striker Makes Debut For Nigeria Vs Cameroon U23
Wolverhampton Wanderers-owned striker Bright Enobakhare made his international debut for Nigeria in a pre-U23 Africa Cup of Nations friendly match against Cameroon on Tuesday evening in in Ismailia, Egypt.

The Benin City-born starlet was named in the starting line-up as the Dream Team VII were held to a goalless draw by the young Indomitable Lions.

According to the official website of the Nigerian Federation, Enobakhare was unfortunate net to score on his international debut as he missed a couple of chances.

Despite his debut for Nigeria, the 21-year-old is not provisionally cap-tied to the three-time African champions as the clash against Cameroon was a friendly game and he must play at the U23 AFCON for his status to change.

He has lived in the United Kingdom for more than five years, making him eligible to play for England national teams.

Defending champions Nigeria are in Group B at the U23 AFCON alongside Ivory Coast, Zambia and South Africa.

The competition serves as qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan and only the two finalists and winner of the third place match will represent Africa next year.
