Rangers' Aribo Ahead Of Potential Cap-Tying Game : It Is An Honour To Represent My Country
Glasgow Rangers star Joe Aribo is in contention to become cap-tied to Nigeria for life when three-time African champions Super Eagles face neighbors Benin in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo on Wednesday, November 13.

The London-born midfielder has appeared in two nonbinding games for the Super Eagles, against Ukraine and Brazil, and remains eligible to play for his country of birth, England for the time being.

That said, Aribo has made it clear his allegiance is with Nigeria and he's looking forward to making his competitive debut this week.

Speaking to Rangers TV on Sunday, Aribo said : ''It is always good to be part of the international squad, I think it is like an honour to represent my country so I'm just happy to be out there and I can't wait to go out there to play''.

The Rangers number 17 will have to do a lot of traveling over the next two weeks, something he admitted he wasn't used to until he was called up to the Nigeria squad.

''Funny enough I didn't really like traveling but it just got to be done. It comes with the game,'' added Aribo.

A summer signing from Charlton Athletic, Aribo opened his account in the Scottish Premiership as Rangers beat Livingston 2-0 on Sunday, taking his tally in all competitions to 5 goals in 23 games in the process.
