Red-Hot Ighalo Named To Manchester United Travel Roster To Face LASK In Europa League
Published: March 11, 2020Odion Ighalo is in contention to play his eighth game in a Manchester United jersey on Thursday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Shanghai Shenhua-owned striker was among the players that jetted off to Linz on Wednesday after training at Carrington.
With Anthony Martial not training with the squad before the trip to Austria, Ighalo is expected to lead United's attack against LASK if the Frenchman is not available for selection.
The former Nigeria international has been in red-hot form in the last four matches across all competitions, scoring three goals, one of which was against Club Brugge in the Europa League.
The game between LASK and Manchester United will be played behind closed doors because of coronavirus concerns.
The second leg will take place at Old Trafford on Thursday, March 19, four days after United's trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.
