Newcastle United, Fulham Battling Bundesliga Clubs For Nigeria International Defender
Published: March 11, 2020Super Eagles left-back Jamilu Collins is attracting interest from English Premier League clubs, according to reports.
Transfermarkt.com claims Newcastle United and Fulham are mulling over a summer move for the Paderborn defender but face competition from German Bundesliga clubs.
Mainz 05, Schalke 04 and Hertha Berlin have also been credited with an interest in the former Rijeka star.
Collins' career has been on the upward trajectory in the last few years and saw his market value rise to three million euros in December 2019.
He was playing in the third tier for Paderborn two years ago, before earning back-to-back promotions with the North Rhine-Westphalia club and has become an established international, appearing in thirteen matches since his debut.
Collins is contracted to Paderborn until the end of the 2020-2021 season and the Bundesliga club could cash in on the defender in the summer if he does not sign a new deal.
