Only three players have played more shots on target than Nigeria international Victor Osimhen in the French Ligue 1 so far this season.

Get French Football News using data from Instat has revealed the top five players with the highest number of shots after 28 games in the French top-flight, with Osimhen ranked joint fourth with Paris Saint-Germain's Brazil superstar Neymar.

The Lille striker has 37 shots on target, fifteen less than the stat leader, France World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe of PSG.

In second position is St Etienne's Denis Bouanga (41) and Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder is next on the list with 38.

Thirteen of Osimhen's 37 shots on target have led to him scoring goals and he has averaged 1.37 shots per game in the Ligue 1.

The 21-year-old is the fourth highest goalscorer n the French top-flight behind Ben Yedder (18), Mbappe (18) and Dembele (16).
