No Agreement Reached As Arsenal Continue To Hold Contract Talks With Bukayo Saka
Published: June 12, 2020
Bukayo Saka's contact saga with Arsenal is still yet to be resolved though talks are still ongoing behind the scenes with his Nigerian agent Emeka Obasi, allnigeriasoccer.com has been told.
The Anglo-Nigerian winger who has entered the final 12 months of the first professional deal is still yet to put pen to paper on an extension, amidst reported interests from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Though manager Mikel Arteta earlier revealed that the club have held talks with the player's party over a renewal for the exciting starlet, both parties are still trying to strike a new deal for the teenage prospect, with Premier League football set to return on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old has played 2,034 minutes of first-team football for the Gunners so far in the 2019-2020 season, scoring three goals and setting up another nine.
Saka will become free to listen to offers from interested suitors when his contract with the club runs out at the end of the 2020-2021 season if it is not prolonged.
The Hale End Academy product is predominantly a winger but excelled at left-back before the league was halted in March, following injuries to Sead Kolašinac and Kieran Tierney.
