Exclusive : Released Arsenal Nigerian Defender Joins Tottenham Hotspur
Published: October 03, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of confirming the signing of highly-rated Nigerian youngster Tobi Omole.
The versatile defender has already put pen to paper on a one-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
Omole was surprisingly released by Arsenal at the end of the 2019-2020 season and has ended his search for a new club after agreeing terms with Spurs following a successful trial.
The 20-year-old helped Spurs register a 1-0 against his former employer in the Premier League 2 last weekend whilst on trial, coming off the bench for the final twenty-three minutes.
Spurs U23s coach Wayne Burnett has selected Omole in his matchday squad for the ongoing game against Southampton B but he starts the game on the bench.
Omole links up with Jubril Okedina, Kion Etete and goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi at Tottenham Hotspur.
He made 48 appearances combined in the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2 during his six-year association with Arsenal.
