Official : Tottenham Hotspur Confirm Signing Of Former Arsenal Starlet Omole
Published: October 03, 2020Through their official website, English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Tobi Omole, who last defended the colours of north London rivals Arsenal.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported today that the versatile center back has already put pen to paper on a one-year deal.
Omole played his first official game for Tottenham Hotspur when he came off the bench to replace Lyons-Foster in the 85th minute of a 2-1 victory over Southampton B in a Premier League 2 Division One clash staged at Hotspur Way in Enfield on Saturday afternoon.
"Under-23s Coach Wayne Burnett named 19-year-old full-back Marcel Lavinier in our starting line-up while 20-year-old centre-back Tobi Omole appeared off the bench in the second half, both players having signed contracts with our Under-23s until the end of the season," Spurs wrote in their match report.
Omole is eligible to represent Spurs in the English Premier League as he is classed as an U21 player, having been born after January 1, 1999.
First team boss Manager Jose Mourinho cannot register Omole on Tottenham's List B for the Europa League group stage as he has spent less than two years at the club even though he is an association-trained player.
