Osimhen At Risk Of Missing Clash Vs Roma As Napoli Issue Fresh Update
Published: November 28, 2020Nigeria international Victor Osimhen is at risk of missing Napoli's home match with AS Roma in the Serie A on Sunday evening, starting from 2045 hours at Stadio San Paolo.
The training update provided by Napoli via their official website on Saturday is not a positive one, with the Blues suggesting that the former Lille striker trained alone.
Osimhen continued with a personalized programme just as was the case during the workout on Friday.
"Meanwhile Victor Osimhen had physiotherapy and did personalised work on the pitch and in the gym," Napoli wrote.
Osimhen dislocated his shoulder on international duty with the Super Eagles around two weeks ago and has missed Napoli's last two matches since returning to Italy.
It is thought that manager Gennaro Gattuso wants to avoid rushing the club's most expensive acquisition back to action so he doesn't suffer a relapse.
Prior to his spell on the sidelines, Osimhen started six of the eight matches played by Napoli, including five in the Italian top-flight.
Napoli find themselves sixth in the table with 14 points ahead of the visit of AS Roma.
