'His Physicality Is Very Important' - Leicester Coach Discusses Fitness Of Ndidi Pre-Sheffield United
Published: December 05, 2020Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi came through his comeback game with no issues.
On his return from an adductor injury, the Nigeria national teamer started and was in action for 56 minutes in the Europa League fixture against Zorya Lugansk before his premeditated substitution.
Providing a fitness update on the squad, Rodgers said on Ndidi : "It was very important. Wilf’s come through it fine, he didn’t look like he’d been away in all honesty.
"His physicality is very important for our team, so that was good for him to get 55 minutes."
Whilst Ndidi was on the sidelines, Leicester City won seven matches, drew once and lost five games in all competitions.
