Crystal Palace Crowd-Pleaser Eze Joins Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool Stars In Premier League TOTW
Published: December 08, 2020Crystal Palace crowd-pleaser Eberechi Eze has been included in the English Premier League Team of the Week by Whoscored following his brilliant performance in Crystal Palace's 5-1 rout of West Brom last weekend.
The highlight of his display was setting up Palace's fourth goal scored by Wilfried Zaha midway through the second half.
Eze has illustrious company in the Premier League Best XI, with Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Liverpool trio Caoimhin Kelleher, Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah, and Chelsea's Mason Mount making the cut.
Apart from the Anglo-Nigerian, three other Palace players were picked, namely Zaha, Christian Benteke and Patrick van Aanholt while Southampton center back Jannik Vestergaard and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne complete the list.
Eze was rated 7.96 out of ten for his efforts against the Baggies - the seventh best rated player named to the ceremonial eleven.
"After being eased into the swing of things following his summer arrival, Eberechi Eze is starting to leave his mark at Crystal Palace and is also allowing Wilfried Zaha to perform even better," Whoscored.com said on the number 25.
"Against West Brom, Eze registered four key passes and claimed his second assist of the season.
"Not only that, but Eze completed two dribbles, claimed four fouls and won his first aerial duel of the season."
