Arsenal Product Chuba Akpom Named In Championship Team Of The Week
Published: January 04, 2021Arsenal academy product Chuba Akpom has been named in the Championship Team of the Week by Whoscored.com following the conclusion of the latest round of matches.
The Super Eagles hopeful was the star of the show as Middlesbrough came from behind to register a 3-1 win over Adebayo Akinfenwa's Wycombe Wanderers.
Akpom provided the assist for Marcus Tavernier's goal in the 36th minute before wrapping up the scoring nine minutes from time.
With a rating of 8.58, the 25-year-old was the highest rated player in the win against Wycombe Wanderers.
In a 4-4-2 formation, Akpom was partnered in attack by Swansea City's Jamal Lowe.
The Anglo-Nigerian played a joint game-high four shots, two of which were on target, made two key passes, won five aerial duels and had a passing accuracy of 61.1 percent against Wycombe.
Akpom completed two take-ons, more than any other player on the pitch, and won one free-kick for his side.
