Ex-Wolves Striker Enobakhare Scores In Second Consecutive Match For East Bengal; Given N317,000
Published: January 06, 2021Wolverhampton Wanderers academy product Bright Enobakhare has made a brilliant start to his career at Indian Super League club East Bengal.
The Nigeria U23 international scored in his second consecutive match as East Bengal were held to a 1-1 draw by Goa on Wednesday afternoon.
In the 79th minute, Enobakhare scored a breathtaking goal, collecting a chipped ball from Maghoma near the centre circle, beat four Goa players and slotted the ball home, proving that his last game was not a flash in the pan.
An equaliser from Devendra in the 81st minute denied the Nigerian and his teammates all three points.
Enobakhare found the back of the net fifteen minutes into his debut against Odisha on January 3, after coming off the bench in the 73rd minute.
The 22-year-old took home the Hero of the Match, an award that comes with a cash prize of 50,000 rupees (US$683 or N317,000).
The young Nigerian forward, who has been handed the number 10 jersey for the remainder of the season, was substituted four minutes from time against Goa.
