Confirmed : Tottenham Hotspur U23 Captain Jubril Okedina Signs Two New Deals
Published: January 06, 2021Tottenham Hotspur's Nigerian center back Jubril Okedina signed two new deals on Wednesday, January 6.
Through a statement on their official website, Spurs have announced that Okedina has put pen to paper on a new contract with the north London club until 2022.
The 2000-born defender has also inked a loan deal with Cambridge United that will keep him at the EFL League Two club for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season.
Okedina impressed in the first half of the season, captaining Tottenham Hotspur U23s in the Premier League 2, and registered his name on the scoresheet three times in his last two games against Chelsea and Liverpool.
Speaking on the signing of Okedina, Cambrdige United boss Mark Bonner told the club's official website : "We are pleased to add Jubril to our squad for the second half of the season and look forward to overseeing this period of his development.
"This will be a good experience for Jubril as it’s his first senior loan and he offers us good competition and cover in the defensive unit.
"Jubril is motivated to push for a place in the team and his attitude, defensive qualities and athleticism make him a good addition."

Okedina has been allocated the number 15 jersey at Cambridge United.
