Solomon-Otabor Returns To Wigan Athletic; Turns Down Charlton Athletic, Doncaster Rovers
Published: February 01, 2021Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that EFL League One club Wigan Athletic are on the verge of announcing the re-signing of former Super Eagles invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor.
The Birmingham City academy product has inked another short term deal that will keep him at the Latics until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Solomon-Otabor initially joined Wigan Athletic on a one-month deal in September 2020 and the deal was extended the following month until January 4.
He was an ever-present in the Wigan squad until he suffered a serious injury in a 1-1 draw against Plymouth Argyle on October 24, 2020.
League One duo Charlton Athletic and Doncaster Rovers were battling for his signature but he strangely turned down a move to both clubs who are above Wigan in the table and pushing for promotion.
Solomon-Otabor is not yet in tip-top condition and unlikely to make a second debut for Wigan when they take on Swindon Town on Tuesday evening.
He lists Crystal Palace, Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool and Portsmouth among his previous clubs.
