Super Eagles Striker Maja Joins Fulham On Loan With Option To Buy Set At 10 Million Euros
Published: February 02, 2021Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Fulham are on the verge of confirming the signing of Nigeria international Josh Maja.
The Bordeaux striker has put pen to paper on a five-month loan deal with the Cottagers who have the option to make the transfer permanent at end of 2020-2021 season for a fee of 10 million euros.
The deal was completed minutes before the close of the winter transfer market in England at 2300 hours.
Maja is returning to Fulham for a second spell having spent his formative years as a footballer with the club, before stints at Manchester City and Sunderland.
The 22-year-old links up with Nigerian quartet Ola Aina, Tosin Adarabioyo, Josh Onomah and Ademola Lookman in Fulham's first team.
In 48 outings for Bordeaux since joining the club in January 2019, Maja has registered 11 goals, including a hat-trick against Nîmes Olympique .
Fulham's next fixture comes up against Kelechi Iheanacho's Leicester City at Craven Cottage on Wednesday, February 3.
