Super Eagles Striker Ends 18-Game Goal Drought In Super Lig As Sivasspor Rout Ankaragucu
Nigeria international Olarenwaju Kayode was on target to help Sivasspor thrash Ankaragucu 4-1 in a Turkish Super Lig clash staged at the Eryaman Stadyumu (Ankara) on Sunday afternoon.

The Shakhtar Donetsk loanee had gone eighteen games without finding the net in the Super Lig prior to today's game, with his last goal coming against Antalyaspor on June 28, 2020.

Max-Alain Gradel converted a spot kick to open the scoring for the visitors after ten minutes.

It was in the second half that the floodgates really opened, with Kayode doubling the advantage in the 48th minute before Ahmet Oguz put the ball into his own net for 2-1, and then Erdogan Yesilyurt and Mustapha Yatabare scored in the 69th and 88th minute respectively to make it 4-1.

Kayode netted the pick of the goals, the number 80 finished off a brilliant counter attack move with a close range strike after making a run into the box.

Though the Super Eagle has been quiet in the Super Lig, he excelled in the group stage of this season's Europa League, scoring in four consecutive matches while his other goal was against Giresunspor in the Turkish Cup 52 days ago.
