'This coach is too rigid' - Super Eagles fans cannot believe what Rohr has done against Lesotho
Published: March 30, 2021Manager Gernot Rohr's team selection for Nigeria's final 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium has sparked a reaction from several Super Eagles fans on social media.
With the Super Eagles already qualified for the tournament in Cameroon as Group L winners, the fans have criticized the German football tactician for not naming some of the fringe players in the starting lineup.
Rohr has made four changes the team that started against the Republic of Benin on Saturday, bringing in Alex Iwobi, Oghenekaro Etebo, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Tyronne Ebuehi.
The likes of Jamilu Collins, Shehu Abdullahi, Semi Ajayi, Ahmed Musa and Adeleke Adekunle who have not tasted action this international break have all been named on the substitutes' bench.
Here's what Super Eagles fans are saying on Twitter :
@Deeblazer : "Man this Coach is too rigid, we have won the group already, give other players gave time."

@vincent_owhor : "Gernot Rohr is so unadventurous".
@simplealash : "Semi Ajayi should have started alongside Awaziem in CB".
@Oye_ken : "WHY CANT HE REST PLAYERS".
@demdam : "Nothing Onuachu can do to get in the starting 11...even in a dead rubber match???I just tire for this coach....I thought at the national team level, you have a bench that's equally as good as the starting 11."
@Ismailsodiqola2 : "Wetin Chukwueze give Rohr chop".
