FC Midtjylland's Onyeka provides update on injury he suffered after scoring vs Aarhus GF
Published: April 12, 2021FC Midtjylland midfielder Frank Onyeka has provided an update on the injury he suffered during the first half of the Danish Superliga clash away to Aarhus GF on Sunday, April 11.
The Nigeria international had opened the scoring in the 16th minute before making way for Mikael Anderson at minute 25 after coming off worse in an aerial challenge.
This is his second goal against the same opponent this season as he also scored and provided an assist on matchday nine.
After receiving treatment on the sidelines, he tried to play through the pain barrier but could not shake off the injury.
"It's the ball… I hope it's not serious. I tried to play on, but it just hurt too much," said Onyeka to Ekstra Bladet.
On the victory against Aarhus GF, he said : "I think we show with this victory that we are stronger than earlier in the season.
"Now we score four goals against AGF… usually we lose to them. There is a signal in that".
