Brighton & Hove interested in signing 20-goal Super Eagles star
Published: May 28, 2021According to reporting by Tuttomercatoweb.com, English Premier League club Brighton & Hove are among the teams interested in signing Crotone marksman Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo in the summer transfer window.
The future of the Nigeria international has dominated the backpages in recent weeks as he is expected to move on to pastures new following Crotone's relegation to the Serie B.
Simy had an excellent season at Crotone, scoring twenty goals in 38 matches in the top-flight, making him the joint-fifth highest goalscorer in the division.
Brighton & Hove face stiff competition from Saint-Etienne (France), Real Betis (Spain) and Salernitana (Italy) for the services of the Super Eagles striker.
The player's agent Chinedu Amadi has received several offers from interested clubs this month.
Crotone are looking to cash in on their all-time top scorer, with a fee in the region of eight million euros being mooted as the asking price for the 29-year-old.
The former Gil Vicente and Portimonense star is expected to link up with his international teammates in the coming days ahead of their friendly against Cameroon.
