Lille join Chelsea, Arsenal, Leeds United in race for Reading's Nigerian wonderkid
Published: May 30, 2021French Ligue 1 champions Lille are set to battle it out with Premier League and German Bundesliga clubs for the signing of Super Eagles target Michael Olise, according to TEAMtalk.
The former France U18 international, who is also eligible to represent England, is also attracting interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Leeds United, plus former European champions Bayern Munich.
Olise is being tipped for the Reading exit door following the club's failure to secure promotion to the Premier League despite a fine start to the campaign.
The 19-year-old was rewarded for an outstanding season after he was named the EA Sports Young Player of the Season last month.
The versatile playmaker missed only two games played by the Royals in the Championship, scoring seven goals and registering twelve assists spread across 3,263 minutes.
Should Olise leave Reading this summer, he would be ending his association with the club five years after his arrival at the Madejski Stadium.
Meanwhile, Nigerian-born winger Arnaut Danjuma may also bis farewell to his Championship club and Lille are among the clubs keen on signing the Bournemouth star.
