21-year-old ex-Arsenal defender makes non-competitive debut for Tottenham vs Leyton Orient
Former Arsenal defender Tobi Omole made his non-competitive debut for Tottenham Hotspur in their first pre-season game against Leyton Orient at the Breyer Group Stadium in London on Saturday afternoon, Nuno Espirito Santo's first match as coach of the north London team.

Omole, 21, was snapped up by Tottenham last October on a deal until the end of the 2020-2021 season and his contract was extended after an outstanding season.

The Anglo-Nigerian is a complete defender in terms of versatility as he is capable of playing as a central defender, fullback and defensive midfielder.

Omole proved that he deserved to be given minutes in today's game after catching the eye of the Portuguese football tactician in pre-season training.

Dane Scarlett opened the scoring seven minutes before half-time but the fourth-tier team earned a draw thanks to a goal from Ruel Sotiriou in the 72nd minute.

Nuno Espirito Santo made a raft of changes in the 64th minute and two of those saw Omole and another defender of Nigerian descent in Timothy Eyoma called into action.

Jubril Okedina and Kion Etete have been spotted training with Tottenham Hostpur's first team in pre-season but the duo were not included in the matchday squad for today's game.
