2019 Nigeria U23 invitee makes competitive debut for Glasgow Celtic B
2019 Nigeria U23 invitee Osaze Urhoghide has finally made his competitive debut for a Glasgow Celtic team, 65 days after his celebrated move to the Scottish giants from Sheffield Wednesday.

The center back was named in the starting line-up for Celtic B's SPFL Trust Trophy second round clash against Greenock Morton on Saturday afternoon.

Celtic head coach Ange Postecoglou has yet to hand a debut to the Anglo-Dutch-Nigerian defender since his move to the Hoops but named him as a reserve option in nine of the eleven official matches played by the club in the new season.

Urhoghide is set to fall further down the pecking order of central defenders at Celtic following the deadline day signing of Tottenham Hotspur star Cameron Carter Vickers.

Carl Starfelt, Stephen Welsh, Nir Bitton and Dane Murray were ahead of him in the Australian's pecking order before the arrival of the United States international.

The Celtic B team, with Urhoghide going the full 90, suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Greenock Morton.

Michael Garrity and Robbie Muirhead scored to give the visitors a 2-0 lead, Ciaran Dickson halved the deficit, before Cameron Blues restored The Ton two-goal cushion in the second half.

Tobi Oluwayemi, younger brother of Tottenham Hotspur U23 goalkeeper Joshua, is on international duty with the Young Lions and wasn't named in Celtic's matchday squad to face Greenock Morton.
