EFL: Watford-owned Dele-Bashiru fires brace, Bournemouth's Solanke marks birthday with goal
Two dual-eligible players of Nigerian descent were on target for their respective clubs in EFL Championship matches on Tuesday, September 14.

At the Vitality Stadium, 2017 U20 World Cup winner with the Young Lions, Dominic Solanke took his tally for the season to five after his first half goal for Bournemouth in their 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers.

Solanke marked his 24th birthday with a goal in the 37th minute as he slotted calmly beyond the goalkeeper after exchanging passes with Anthony.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker is the second top scorer in the English second-tier after seven rounds.

Tom Dele-Bashiru put in a man of the match performance as Reading defeated Peterborough United 3-1 at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in Berkshire.

The Nigeria U23 international scored his first goal in Reading colours when he drilled the ball into the bottom corner to double the home team's advantage in the 67th minute.

Two minutes from time, the Manchester City academy product put the game to bed with a brilliant strike from 25 yards out.

Watford-owned Dele-Bashiru is on loan at Reading for the remainder of the season and the deal did not come with an option to buy.
