'We miss his influence' - Leicester City boss provides fresh update on Ndidi's injury
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has provided a fresh update on the injury Wilfred Ndidi aggravated during the Premier League clash versus Burnley last weekend.

The Northern Irishman is more or less on the same page as manager Gernot Rohr regarding Ndidi's expected return date after revealing that the holding midfielder faces a few weeks on the sidelines.

The Nigeria international has undergone a scan to establish the extent of his hamstring injury which has prevented him from adding to his international caps this month.

Rodgers has challenged the likes of Hamza Choudhury and Boubakary Soumaré to step up to the plate in the absence of Ndidi.

"We miss his influence on the field, but like I said, we’ve still got very good players," the Northern Irishman said to Leicester City's official webpage ahead of the trip to Crystal Palace.

"It’s a team cohesion that we can improve. Wilf Ndidi will probably miss the weekend.

"We had to wait for a scan on his hamstring, so he could be out for a few weeks, which is a shame. Apart from that, everyone else is okay."

Ndidi has started the last twenty-one matches played by the Foxes in the Premier League and registered four assists.
