Official : Young attacker signs new contract at Chelsea
Published: October 13, 2021Through their official website, European champions Chelsea have announced that promising youngster Louis Flower has inked a new deal with the club.
The 2004-born center forward has signed his first professional contract with Chelsea.
Flower joined Chelsea at U14 level from Cambridge United and was on scholarship terms prior to putting pen to paper on his first professional contract.
He has been described as a tall and strong forward who can operate from the left or in the centre and has an eye for goal.
In the current season, the 17-year-old has appeared in five matches for the Blues in the U18 Premier League, scoring his first goal at that level against Birmingham City on September 11.
Flower is in contention to make his competitive debut for Chelsea's development squad in tonight's Papa John's Trophy clash against the first team of League Two club Bristol Rovers.
