Ndidi happy to be back with Super Eagles after missing October internationals
Published: November 10, 2021Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi is happy to be back with the Super Eagles ahead of their upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
The holding midfielder was not at the disposal of manager Gernot Rohr for the double-header against Central African Republic in October due to a hamstring issue that kept him sidelined for around five weeks.
He has recovered in time to be in contention to add to his international caps after making his comeback against Spartak Moscow in the Europa League on November 4 before going the distance vs Leeds United at the weekend.
Ahead of Saturday's clash against the Lone Stars, Ndidi has sent a message to the Super Eagles fans in which he urged them to keep supporting the team.
Speaking at the end of Wednesday evening's training session in Tangier, Ndidi said to the Super Eagles Media Team : "We are just trying to prepare for the game, getting all the tactics done, learning from mistakes and taking it into the game.
"We us players we know what we want, they should just keep supporting us, we hope for the best because we have been working very hard so hopefully we come out victorious."

On how he feels to be back after missing the last international window, he replied : "It is amazing seeing the players, getting that feeling to be back is really amazing and I'm very happy to be back with team and we look forward to what we want to achieve in the future".
Ndidi has been involved in only one match in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the opening day win against Liberia in Lagos, where he went the distance.
