Promising attacking midfielder Shola Shoretire is being linked with a loan move to Football League club Ipswich Town.

Rwandan newspaper The New Times is reporting that former Manchester United assistant manager Kieran McKenna, who now coaches Ipswich Town, is ready to strengthen his squad with the loan signings of Shoretire and four other academy stars at the Red Devils.

France youth teamer of Rwandan descent Noam Emeran, Anthony Elanga, Tendon Mengi and Dylan Levitt are also targets for Ipswich Town's new boss McKenna.

Regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in the United academy, Shoretire, still only 17, has made only one appearance for the first team this season and it came against Young Boys in the Champions League.

The Anglo-Nigerian was top scorer for United U23s last season with 10 goals in the Premier League 2.

Shoretire has been on the books of Manchester United since the age of nine, rising through the ranks before making his professional debut against Newcastle United in February 2021.

Out-of-favour Nigeria international Sone Aluko currently wears the colours of Ipswich Town.
