Every word said by Eguavoen on win, performance of players, weather, key area for improvement

Nigeria defeated Coton Sport FC de Garoua 2-0 in a practice match on Friday, courtesy of goals from Ahmed Musa and Samuel Chukwueze.
Interim Super Eagles boss Augustine Eguavoen gave a big hint of his starting lineup for Tuesday's opening match against Egypt by starting a strong side that included the likes of Maduka Okoye, William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Speaking after the game, Eguavoen gave his view on the win, what impressed him, performance of the players, weather condition and the areas for improvement.
Here's every word Eguavoen said in a chat with Super Eagles Media Officer Babafemi Raji :
Coach Augustine Eguavoen practice match done and dusted already. Good result, 2-0, what do you think about the whole game?
"Impressive, we played two sets of teams. First half eleven players, second half another eleven players just to see how they can fare and cope with the weather conditions.
"I can tell you we struggled a little bit with the weather but in terms of ball possession and movement I think we were very impressed. Winning this game is a very good thing for us."
The first half you had a different set of players and was is your observation about the first set of players, the likes of Maduka Okoye.
"Yes they did very well. It's a little difficult to compare both teams now. We missed a couple of chances and we scored only one goal.
"Second group came on, they missed a lot of chances as well, scored only one goal so it's Nigeria 2 Coton Sport 0 but like we know it's a practice match and nobody actually wants to go full throttle because we have to try to play safe a little bit but however I think we are impressed with everybody that came in."
Talking about the tactics I know in the course of training and preparations different tactical sessions, did you experience or get what you want in terms of response and execution of your tactics and strategies?
"Yes we did but at some point we didn't just because of fatigue. The ball movement is a bit faster which we required they were doing that but as the game progressed fatigue started setting in so the ball movement became a little bit slower.
"But whenever they recuperate they always go out there and then do exactly what we wanted them to do. But in front of goal we are too few, that's something we have to work on too.

"Ball possession is good. Playing to the side which is our strength is very good but arriving in the box with fewer players is not so good. That's what we are going to work on next few days."
