With the Super Eagles' opening game at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations on the horizon, caretaker manager Augustine Eguavoen has given a hint of the composition of his starting lineup to take on Egypt, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
For the stronger-looking eleven with green bibs, Eguavoen made one change from the team that defeated Coton Sport 2-0, with Watford loanee Maduka Okoye making way for Francis Uzoho.
Chelsea academy product Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi retained their places at right-back and left-back respectively, while William Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo were paired in central defence again.
Joe Aribo and Wilfred Ndidi were the holding midfielders; Chidera Ejuke, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa had offensive roles with Taiwo Awoniyi leading the attack.
The other team with yellow bibs was made up of Daniel Akpeyi, three former Gunners in Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Nwakali and Semi Ajayi, Tyronne Ebuehi, Chidozie Awaziem, Olisa Ndah, Frank Onyeka, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon and Sadiq Umar.
