Former Real Madrid midfielder issues nine-word reaction to Aubameyang's move to Barcelona
Published: February 02, 2022Former Real Madrid midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has taken to social media to express his happiness at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's switch to Barcelona.
The Gabon striker joined the Blaugrana on a free transfer after terminating his lucrative contract with Arsenal, signing a deal until June 30, 2025 with an option to agree departure on June 30, 2023.
Aubameyang's buy out clause has been set at 100 million euros and he is contention to make his competitive debut against Atletico Madrid on Sunday afternoon.
Apart from the Gunners, the 32-year-old previously represented teams in Italy, France and Germany.
La Liga ambassador Adepoju has welcomed the African star to La Liga, labeling the league the best in the world.
The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner re-posted a tweet from the official La Liga Twitter account in which it was confirmed that Barcelona have registered Aubameyang in La Liga.
Adepoju added : "Welcome to the best league in the world. @Auba".
Adepoju never appeared for Real Madrid in La Liga but made 175 appearances combined for Racing Santander and Real Sociedad in the division, scoring 22 goals.
