At Vicarage Road, goals from Raphinha, Rodrigo and Jack Harrison earned Leeds United a 3-0 win over relegation-threatened Watford.
The Hornets were forced into a fist half change with Emmanuel Dennis replacing the injured Juan Hernandez.
William Troost-Ekong and Oghenekaro Etebo were left out of the matchday squad and Samuel Kalu was a non-playing substitute.
Nathan Tella was an unused substitute for Southampton as they suffered a 6-0 humiliation at the hands of Chelsea at St Mary's Stadium.
The world champions had a 4-0 lead at halftime thanks to goals from Marcos Alonso, Mason Mount, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, before further goals from Werner and Mount in the second half.
Arsenal missed the chance to get back into the top four after a shock 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove at the Emirates Stadium in London, their third defeat in the last four top-flight matches.

In the late kickoff, Carney Chukwuemeka is on the bench for Aston Villa against Tottenham Hostpur at Villa Park.
