Ex-Arsenal and Chelsea schoolboy Ebiowei sends message to Nketiah after Ghanaian's new contract
Published: June 19, 2022Ghana's Black Stars hopeful Eddie Nketiah has ended speculation over his future by signing a new long-term contract with Premier League side Arsenal.
The former England U21 international was previously tipped for the exit door this summer due to a lack of first team opportunities in the first half of the 2021-2022 season but his circumstances changed in the business part of the season, with the striker notching five goals in the last seven league games.
Several players of Nigerian descent including 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei have congratulated Nketiah on renewing his contract with the Emirates outfit.
Ebiowei and Nketiah have several things in common, including sharing the same Nigerian agent Emeka Obasi of Elite Project Group Limited.
The attack-minded duo were both schoolboys at Chelsea before joining Arsenal in 2015.
Ebiowei departed Arsenal in 2019 after he was not offered a scholarship for non-footballing reasons.
Responding to the post by the new Arsenal number 14, Ebiowei posted an emoji expressing his happiness, "❤️".
