Team news : Exciting winger left out of Arsenal squad v Chelsea despite training with first team
Published: November 06, 2022
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that exciting Nigerian winger Joel Ideho has been left of Arsenal's matchday squad against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
Ideho was spotted training with the Gunners first team stars at London Colney on Saturday - their final workout before the short trip to SW6 1HS,
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed his matchday squad against the Blues after the training session and there is no place for Ideho.
The other wingers pictured in training yesterday included Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Reiss Nelson and Charles Sagoe Jr.
Saka, Martinelli and Nelson are ahead of Ideho in the pecking order of wingers and this is the reason for his exclusion from the squad list to take on Chelsea.
Ideho also trained with the first team before the visit of PSV Eindhoven to the Emirates Stadium but did not dress for the Europa League clash.
The 19-year-old has shown signs of tremendous potential and has been rewarded with call ups to train with the first team on the back of his excellent displays for the development squad.
